Day 10

When I arrived at the crisis nursery this morning there were 6 kids of various ages. We played with the toys and board games for the morning, then we had lunch. The kids got along well, and, other than a few hungry babies, everyone was happy and smiling! After we put them down for quiet time, 3 kids left and 3 new ones showed up. The youngest of the new 3 has major separation anxiety and started screaming as loud as she could when her brother and sister were out of sight. After we put them down for quiet time she seemed I be okay. In addition, the volunteers and I cleaned and organized the toys and the entire movie cabinet. Today went by pretty quickly overall! 

I really enjoy working at the crisis nursery and I think that I am going to volunteer over the summer as well, about once or twice a week!
