Day 6
Today at the nursery there were only 2 boys, ages 8 and 10, who were siblings. For the first part of the morning they entertained themselves and there wasn't much to do as far as organizing, cleaning, laudry, etc, so I hung out with the other volunteer who goes to St. Joe. For the second part of the morning, we went outside with bubbles and drew with chalk. Overall it was a pretty uneventful day and I hope more kids start coming in tomorrow!

I love chalk drawings!! I know that some days at the Crisis Nursery can be boring, but understand that you are truly helping those kids. Some of the those kids may not get the opportunity to be a kid at home and so they enjoy the time you spend with them (chalk, games, etc.) just being a kid!
